Bellhousing Modification After The Sale
At Probell Racing Products, we do not make "go-fast" parts. By its very nature, a bellhousing will never improve your time at the track, or give you the added power needed to make that next monster pull. A bellhousing is designed to protect racers and pullers when things go terribly wrong--catastrophic clutch failure. So while your choice of a bellhousing is an important decision, a choice that can protect both your health and your pocket book--let's face it, bellhousings all look pretty much the same. But is a can just a can? At Probell Racing Products, we don't think so.
At Probell Racing Products, we stand committed to both our products and our customers. This commitment continues long after the sale of a new bellhousing. Take for example, our customer who purchased a bellhousing for a big block 460 Ford engine several months ago. At the time, his bellhousing was an ideal choice. The bellhousing was a perfect fit right out of the box, with mounting holes that were dead on. The bellhousing was easy to install, and gave hours of safe, reliable operation. Then our customer switched to a small block 351 Ford engine and the bellhousing's mounting bolt pattern was no longer compatible. The customer called our tech hotline, looking for advice.
Our goal at Probell Racing Products is to exceed the customer expectation with service. So after we gathered up all of the details on the new engine, we did what few other bellhousing manufacturers would do. We asked the customer to box the bellhousing up, and return it to our plant. Our skilled craftsmen added a dowel hole for the small block 351 and added 3 engine mounting holes. We returned the modified bellhousing at no cost, saving the racer time, money and hassle. A dowel hole, and 3 engine mounting holes earned us a loyal, dedicated customer for life. Performance and commitment. At Probell Racing Products, this is what we do best!
